beginner layout from me

Made a layout and an alternate colors layout that I want you guys to take a look at. It really needs some sprucing up but after staring at the basics trying to code it correctly I can't tell what to do with it. So please comment about design, layout, and colors. Thanks.

*edit* I also neglected to leave a good space for links so if any of you have a good idea for where links should go, please tell me. I'd like to not change the layout too much as I kinda like it, but I might have to if I cant find a good space for links, huh? -tom

i really dont like the bright blue page background. try either a lighter blue with less green or a relaly ligh grayish/tanish. other than that, its really too unfinished to comment on design-wise. the layout looks good.

Bright blue? On the alternate colors page I can see what youre talking about but on the index.html page I dont think the blue can get any less bright.

You can make it more blue by taking some of the green out.
