w00ty ! DBXP build 0001

Ok, i suck i know.... dont be too hard on me... here's the links for a site im workin on .. a multiplayer game

The Splash

- Simple....but not too bad. The only thing is the character dude in the bottom.......it took me a minute to even realize he is there....and it doesnt quite fit in with the rest of the splash.

The Layout

- Pretty good. I like the shapes going on there and how the header graphic is darkened. I think it might look better if you didnt have all those gray streaks around the layout for a background. I would probably select the layout....give it a black stroke of 1 px and copy/paste it onto white. The background really distracts from the site cause its so busy.

and how are you planning on making the site fit the whole browser window? ;)

lol im on 1024x768 lol it fits on mine .. its too small actually

hmm.... I don't like it all that much. The graphics don't really contribute to the page, it's like you started on a wallpaper and half way realized that you were making a website. And remember, splashes are evil. ;) What need does a splash have?
Splashpages only serve a real function if you need someone to click a link to open a pop up. But since pop ups are evil too, forget about splashpages. Perhaps if you add some color to the website it will look better.

Its coming along nicely I feel it can pop out more with some interface stuff on it still, heheh.

i think all the motion blurs is to much.. its unfocusing my eyes on the important stuff

I like the layout but it seems like is missing that one thing to make it stand out. and i agree with ____ that the cartoon in the splash is to faded in. Try to make it stand out a little more maybe if you change the mode to make it darker than the rest?

I like the overall effect though.

I really like it. If maybe you could put some dark green in there, like just a little, that would look neat.

It's a bit too blurry/messy for me...
The background could be like that but I wouldn't have it one the "layout"...the place where all the content comes...
and maybe some colors?
Well otherwise it's a good start!
