not everyone is on internet exploder.. and in browsers like opera and such, you can just disable javascript etc etc. There's no hope for protecting client side stuff. That's why it's called client side, it comes onto the client's computer.. ;)

Guys, Opera is just awesome. I'm telling you... There is nothing it can't do. Another reason those no-right click scripts are the devil is that some people actually navigate with the right mouse button. My dad for one, right clicks, then presses the "Back" button on the right-click menu. Which is really dumb, because he has forward and back buttons on his mouse, but that's what he does. And there are sure to be more people that do the same. Other people like to right click to print the page, or refresh the page, or add the page to their bookmarks. All valid uses of the right-click menu, which you are disabling by using that script. Also, the script you are using seems to encrypt the HTML code and put it all into a javascript thing. But if someone comes to your site and has Javascript disabled, they don't see your site at all. Which is a little silly. It's like hiding all the products in a store in the back room instead of putting them on the shelves, just so there is no chance they will be shoplifted. And people can always just get your graphics and code from the browser's cache anyway, so there is really no way around it. Anyway, about the design... I agree with the others on the colors and so forth. I wouldn't put the "home button" at the bottom of the page. Or at least put a home link at the top as well. You don't want people to have to scroll down to the bottom of the page to find the link to the home page. Maybe it's just me, but I always hate it when you click on "contact us" in the navbar, and it's only a mailto: link. I always assume a link on the navbar is going to take me to another page, not start up my email program. I usually make an html email form for my contact page, and a brief message telling people when I will probably get back to them, etc. It's good that you are making the site sort-of stretch for all resolutions, but like the others said, big long lines of text are very hard to read and make your site look a little amateurish. Put a sidebar in there with your "most recent projects" or a news box on every page, or a tip of the day, or something like that to mix it up a little. The bottom part of the services page is good, because you have it in two columns, with nice short lines of text. I also agree with the others about the pixel fonts. I rarely think large pixel fonts look good. They are meant to be small, and normally only look good in one or two sizes, depending on the way it was designed. Find the optimum size and be sure to use it. When you make a pixel font too big, it looks really silly. Not to mention it is really hard to read, and some of the letters look like other letters, etc. Well I think that is about all I have to say about that for now. |
