Hello everyone: I'm a newjack to this forum and to the web industry. I did, however, complete a new site for a friend who pastors in Northern California and I was wondering if you all could critique it for me (please go easy on me) this is my first site ever and I used a skin I purchased from pank at vbskinz for the menu and bottom navigation. You can view the site at: http://apostolicoutreachministries.com Basically I'd like your opinion on: -Style -Structure -Navigation -Color Scheme -What you think the cost for a site like this is? and lastly, do you guys think I might have somewhat of a future as a site design person or something like that. Thanks for your feedback, it is greatly appreciated. Cheers, zerimar3 |

Wierd to see a site that has the same navigation skin as this one...But I guess if you bought it from Pank it's okey... But I still don't think that that navigation fits there... That one is some how a bit scfi and futuristic...at least that's the way I see it... And if that site has something to with religion or something like that I don't think it fit... Otherwise I think it's a really good job if it's your first site! I would leave the status bar alone, coz I like to see where I'm going but that might just be what I like... The header has the main color dark blue that ain't anywhere else on the site, but I don't think it's that bad eighter... So in my opinion you have done a pretty good job |

what censured said. i'd also skip the bevel on the images you've used. Otherwise I'd have to say you did a very decent job. And I can't see why you couldn't have a future in design. Maybe in the future you'll be able to make your own designs instead of buying them? On a similar note, I have to say that you did a good decision on giving into buying a very good product instead of demanding on making your own, if you aren't sure enough you know how to do it. ;) Keep it up. |

Well gentlemen, Thanks for the feedback. I'm taking your suggestions into consideration. As my first site, it was a challenge. I've never really done anything like this. But I look forward to increasing my skillz and getting this stuff down right. As far as Photoshop goes, I'm a novice as well, but I love to learn. Once again, thank you all for your comments, it is highly appreciated. Cheers, Zerimar3 |
