Keyboard gone Mental

Recently a bunch of the keys on my keyboard have been moving location, example:

I hold shift+2 to get a @ symbol but what comes out is a " and vice versa. This doesn't happen on any of the letters or numbers, pretty much any symbol you have to hold shift for though is screwed.

Any Ideas?

Is it a laptop or a desktop?

If it is a desktop, check for a bent pin, and if it is a laptop, check for a bent/disconnected/damaged keyboard connection or pinned wires. (Might not be so easy on a non-Mac laptop). And if it is a USB desktop....uh....no clue.

It's a desktop pc and a PS/2 keyboard. I checked for bent pins but found nothing. It's getting to be a real pain is the ass.

Sounds like you are using a English (UK) configuration, change it to US

it was on english (UK) and i changed it to US, still no luck though

I woulda known that...I've just never used a UK keyboard.

Can't say I use a US keyboard that much coming from the UK :p

I have been having these kind of troubles alot, there is some shortcuts, but I don't know what it is, but it keeps changing from Finnish to swedish to english...
Easiest way to get rid of this is just to go to control panel and delete the languages you don't need so that you don't press the shortcut that changes this.
It's always the first thing I do when I buy a new computer.
