Hiya ... I've got a problem with viewing any gif animations on any of my web browsers .. i've checked over the settings several times and even re-installed Mozilla FireFox to see if that makes any changes .. but no! I've spoken to a few people about this, some don't know what the problem is and another says it could be something to do with the fact that i've got MS XP Home Edition ... this is because the XP Home has alot of programming errors ... i wanted a few opinions from others before i either started the pc from scratch again re-installing XP Home .. or wether to upgrade the OS .... So grateful if you can help Many thanks BDT :D |

All versions of Windows have a lot of programming errors, not just Home. But I've never heard of that happening. Sounds like it's time for a fresh install.

Do you have zone alarm running? If so that is most likely causing your problem. Option 2 ;) http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;817177 Seems these two links worked here http://www.techsupportforum.com/archive/index.php/t-6838.html |

Just stick with zonealarm and lower the ad-blocking settings. Then get Firefox

Then what's the problem? ;) Firefox will block the ads that you want to block, so you can keep zonealarm and just turn off the ad blocking, thus you can see animated gifs. |
