All of a sudden my computer had two accounts. Guest and my original account, so I deleted the Guest one but now, every time I boot Windows XP I have to click on my user before it loads the interface. There is only one option but I have to click it. Is there any way I can get it to go back so it loads entirely without making me click on it?

Go here http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/pro/downloads/powertoys.asp. Download that, and in TweakUI, there should be an auto login option. |

Or you could just not set any password to that account and disable account switching.

Control Panel --> Admin To0ls --> Local Security Policy | Local Policies --> User Rights Assignment: * Log On Locally = remove guest. * also you can add Guest to Deny Logon Locally A few other things that are good: Click on Security Options and Rename Guest Account and Rename Administrator Account, as well as Disable Guest Account. Renaming the admin account is always a good idea. Default is always "administrator", so you can add an extra level of security by changing it to something not so obvious. |
