How many fonts does Win 98 support?

Read above. Rite now i am at 555 fonts (thanks Corel for that crap) and whenever i try to add a new one, the comp tells me i need to get rid of fonts. Anyone know how many should i ussualy have?

If I were you, I would never have more than like 50-100 fonts installed at one time. They all remain in computer memory, and will hog your system resources, making your computer slow.

Adobe Type Manager is a great way to manage your fonts, I'm not sure if it works with truetype fonts, but it can keep adobe format fonts out of memory, yet installed. Then you can swap back and forth from whatever fonts you want and make sets of fonts that are accessible to load at any time.

Just to confirm...ATM Deluxe wrangles TrueType fonts just fine.

wow 500+ fonts on win98 yikes... at one point i had 2300+ on this win2000 machine and it took photoshop like 4 minutes to load... it was horrible i deleted a lot now i mainly work with around 250.
