but my windows xp disc is an upgrade wouldnt i have to install ME first then install my XP upgrade.....? |

Normally with upgrades all you have to do is insert a previous version of the program or OS during installation. It just check to see if you have the previous disc, then proceeds with the installation. You normally don't have to actually install the previous version, and then install the upgrade separately.
