Hello friends, it's been a while since I've posted on teamphotoshop, but I thought now was a better time than any. I just bought a mac, and being one who was raised on microshaft products, I don't know where to start. I mean, I've set it up, i'm ready to rock and roll, but does anyone know of websites that can get me up to speed on the way macs work etc. As I write this I keep saying to myself "wow. I must be really stupid... Because macs are sooo simple." I love this beast, but i'm a little lost. For example. The "home" and "end" keys don't do anything on the keyboard. And I don't know where to start looking to fix that. Hope someone can help. Peace. Adam |

Your best bet is to go buy some books....and to thoroughly read through the help files that come with the OS.

When will you learn? Adam, macs are simple...you could have at least told us what OS you're using...Mac OSX and the preceeding OS's are completely different...Anyway, it will take you a week without a boring book to get used to it. everything has a shortcut key, very handy thins indeed. If you really want to get into it, why not do some applescript and automate your mac? example of applescript: tell the application 'photoshop' to open ...you don't have to be a genious. You'll be an anti-PC man very very soon ;) |
