well good news:
doesn't freeze up on the loading screen anymore!!

it freezes up when i open it!! w00t

heh...so if i re-re-install, should i delete the sierra folder as well?

i say delete every last bit of it, and reinstall :D

ok well...i think the problem was that i had put openGL to 800x600, but now that's it's back at 640 i can usually get passed the console loading stuff, but now it freezes up in-game when i mouse-over to choose teams...

i got a new card so i don't think that's the problem either

bleh in a twist of irony my dad has decided that
we dont' need a new card...even though i'm the only one that makes use of the computer. after i told him the gfc didn't work, and that we could just buy a bunch of new hardware (mobo, amd, 2 fans, case, PC2100) for about $300 he said "just return it"
so no worries guys, i'm back on my ass-kicking 8MB TNT. w00t.
