I didn't have a "real" job until I was 23. I worked grocery stores, retail, lawn mowing, etc. for years and built up my skill as I went to school. After college is when I went for a real jobber involving pcs. If I was you, I would not be looking for any work involving computers. Unless you're very skilled at that age, nobody is going to look to hire you. You're much better off getting an education and building up your computer skills. If you need money, the small or odd jobs available are probably your best bet. |

Depends, I'm 15 and I made around 160 bucks so far during the summer with graphic/web design, but that's because I got the hook ups with a neighborhood 'net cafe. It's about connections when you're pre-college.

yea i'm 16 and i made roughly $500-$600 in the past 9 months cuz i came in contact with this guy from queens, NY and he got clients, and i did the jobs, though i recently quit because of football. :( best thing to do is just make images/layouts just for the hell of it, and then showcase them on a site and then go to forums like this and just ask people what they think and if anyone needed someone to design their site or create them a logo and offer to do it for free. best advice i can give if you're still in HS.

It's about connections when you are out of college too. Don't think that the peice of paper they hand you at commencement is going to be all you need to get a job after school.
