Was just curious what everyone's top choice for "most abused (used) photoshop/design technique" woud be?

There are plenty of obvious choices ... (tv scan lines anyone? grids?) ... that everyone is guility of using ...

How do you feel when a technique you like crosses over into the dark side of misuse and/or over exposure?

...or do you not care and filter away anyway?

most "misused", yeah probably the lens flare

most used, gaussian blur... of course everyone uses the hell out of that for everything.

All techniques and tricks have their own measure of validity....even lens flares and page curls. They gain their value when appropriated within the proper context.

Except for page curl....there's an obscure law that states that graphic designers are only allowed to use them once in their career. Beyond that, you lose your pixel-pushing license, and must ahnd over all work to your kid sister or your grandma, whoever is the least tech savvy.

And no, I'm not kidding.
