You can also, 'save as' and usually that saves all the images with the page as well. But that using both button bit, i'll have to give that a shot. Sometimes if you just get the name of the image you can just type in a url to it and you'll get like the apache server menu and you can just copy it or download it.

You can actually copyright a collection of images and give it a title. Like "The4man's Greatest Images of All Time Vol. 1". It could contain any number of images and all would be protected for the $30 fee. The reason the courts don't acknowledge the poor man's copyright is that guys would send off their envelope to themselves *unsealed* and then drop in whatever contents they needed later on.

BTW - the actual copyright itself exists at the time of creation of the work. The *paperwork* only helps reinforce and establish a timeline and is necessary for any kind of litigation.

Image copyrights are basically granted the moment you finish an artwork, published or no, you "own" the art in all its forms.

Most people just use a small watermark portion of text saying "copyright 2002 artist's name" on their work. But you don't have to do that either.

Now defending your copyright online is a different matter entirely. Getting your work is very simple. Even if you try to protect your image, the print screen function will still work through all forms of digital copy protection.

IMO. Don't be uptight about it. Having to defend your artwork copyright is a rare event. Simple pronoucements of copyright on the image itself should suffice, if anything at all.

If somebody is going to rip off your work, they will do it regardless of the copy protection you attempt to put on it. Its cheaper and easier to be a bit more casual on defending your copyrights.

you could always hire the local gangsters and when you find someone who steals ur work.. well you get the idea , but as far as I know as long as you put ur name on everything it comes under a personal copyright, atleast it does in canada, but if you want to attach a business name to it, that won't do jack unless its a reg'd business name

Just a note: although the right click scripts might work for some web surfers, they're pointless because anyone with experience at surfing can get around them.

So, I can basically put "Copyright 2002 " on my images without actually regestering them with the copyright dept? Works for me. I should probably just take a day off and read the digital millenium copyright act.

Here a nice trick... and they dont cost a dime

Alwasy kepp all your originals files...

Keep the phtoshop file of your images (.psd) with all the layers... it will serve as a great proof than you created the image...

If you use photos keep the originals (before you applied effect)... If you corped tose photos keep the uncroped version...

Kepp these on CD (they will cost you less to kepp and will be more easy to submit in court (if you can bring a laptop with them loaded it will be a perfect proof) and make sure you ahve them in back up (or look stupid in frony of the judge)...
