so yeah, a friend of mine who works for Corel and helped develop what ever the new corel draw thing is.. has offered to give me knock out 2 at a knockout price.. free.. so yeah do you guys think I should hook up with it? I don't even know anything about it, I just tend not to argue with free things

well i would say get it.. you could always sell it on ebay or something... make some money... but it might be illegal, getting a free copy of somethig that you have to pay for... so i dont know..

Well, for what they show for cutting hair out of a background, they are using an image with a nearly totally flat color behind the hair. Which is something that can easily be masked out in photoshop using selections made from channels. Same with the smoke and liquid example. I'd imagine complex backgrounds behind the hair/smoke/liquid will kill this program's ability to create a good selection. Now the shadow and glass examples were probably a bit trickier, but still nothing that couldn't be tackled with the photoshop pen tool and some intelligent masking on the part of the user. Of course, it doesn't hurt to try it. |
