Does anyone remember an illustrator tutorial that showed you how to make a wire frame 3D sort of thing (like I used on the left side of the team site in certain areas). All you had to do was hold down a key while dragging I believe. I hate to admit it but I forgot how I did it :( I think the tut was at wasted youth but their site is down and it's bugging the hell out of me... |

I don't know, but they look cool! Never noticed them before... I'd say just be patient and wait for Wasted Youth to come back, like we waited for Teamphotoshop a while ago |

can't you do the same thing by applying the spherize filter to a grid?

Try holding the "tilde" (~) key while dragging out a shape. It's not really too controllable, but it can be used to create some intereting compound objects.
