...and what a biatch it is. I've not been around the board because of it. For those of you that don't know, IK is the process of using bones that move attaching bones in a 3D prog etc. I made a human skeleton in 3 days, everything works fine. Pull the hand and the whole body reacts to it. The problem is with animating it. I'm making my second showreel, it's funny...i'm the skeleton man and i lure the camera over to me. Then i do the matrix bullet time move, the camera rotates around me, i can't get out of the position and fall off the edge of a huge piece of wires, which happens to be my logo. So far after 6 hours, i've been able to just about make my skeleton to wave one hand at me, then wave both of them because he thinks the camera didn't see him. I now have to get him to stand up, but his spine is the anchor so that wioll be difficult. Anyway, i've always wanted to work in Pixar or Dreamworks or something, so i suppose i should stick at it... My advice to anyone is to stay the hell away from animating IK unless you really have to. Yep, that's about it....see you in around a month |

Now you know the reason why I don't like messing with 3D programs. Not even those so called abstract thingy.

I love my 3D package...the best program i've bought ever, yes, better then PS in terms of 'playability'. I like doing this showreel, it's just too darn time consuming. Also, i think i should be making a bouncing ball as a character, it would probably be funnier, cuter and a heck of a lot easier to animate.. |

I bet you have gained an amazing amount of respect for the creators of movies like Jimmy Neutron:Boy Genuis and Toy Story.
