worried...

can someone define the term 'rip' because i'm in the midst of a dilemma, i was planning on creating my next layout using various camouflage textures within the design, i had a few ideas worked out in photoshop until i came across motivdesign.com... my ideas vary from theirs in many ways, but now i feel if i finish up my designs i'll get slated for it just being a 'rip'

unless it's blatantly obvious to the average person, don't sweat it. It's okay to use other people's designs as influences, but not okay to steal other people's work.

I've seen several sites with a cammo background like that. Go for it. It's going to be the next trend, so you can beat some people to it.
