Speed Test

about a month ago, my host moved my site to a new server, and ever since i've noticed a CONSIDERABLE loss in speed and well, i contacted them and they said the new server is faster and the reason for my slow speeds is because there was a gateway which was down because i had sent them a traceroute i had done to the server.

what i was wondering is if you guys could download this file and then tell me your connection, the speed you got, and whether you thought it was fast, moderate, or slow because if it is slow for others, i will most likely move to a different hosting company.

anyway, here is the file, for those of you who are curious, it is an FTP program setup file i use, but i'm just using it as a speed test here.

thanks in advance for anyone who tests this for me.

yea, right now they are experiencing problems with the server so it is slower than it normally is, though when it is not experiencing problems, it is STILL considerably slow for me.

if noone minds, i would like to reply again when their servers are back to normal and then ask you guys to test it out for me. thanks

37.3KB/S On ADSL In Canada, although I'm at the end of the ADSL circle of service, so I'm naturally slow

Cable modem - Strange... first time it went so fast that I couldn't clock it. Like in two seconds or less. Second time it was 15 KBPS - Ouch. 3rd time was 15 KBPS as well.

Hope this helps (but has me scratching my head).
