take out the <img> crap and specify that image as the background for the cell. also take note of the width and height because you need to apply those values to the cell.

ok guys i hope i can explain this well enough... ok well keep in mind this is just a experimental design since i dont know what im doing yet =) but ok see for an example i want the "affilates" greyish blue box to expand downard so i can put peoples site banners on it but when i expand it with my little spacer image (dont know if i need that or not) the rest of the sliced pic gets all crapped out... this is really my biggest problem =( but here what i mean

fine and dandy

probably notice that the space between contact and portfolio get messed up =( if you can tell me what im doing wrong or a site that could show/teach me how to fix my problem i will give you a big ol hug =)

to get the content 'box' to keep going down as more things go inside, i set it as the table bg, which is basically what moochan said.
you can see it on my site, everything keeps going down as i type more useless garbage in it.

[edit] nm i see where the affiliates box is, lol.
you could redo the HTML and do the table bg thing, or u can
use a div overflow, which will scroll in the designated width and height
