you can try making the clouds in grayscale (eh, use black as foreground and white as background color when you use the cloud filter), apply the lighting filter, and then change the color of the bolt by using Color Balance (Ctrl+B).

i said lighting filter because you can use it to make lightning as well. and think twice before you think someone doesn't know what the hell they're talking about, you need to use that chunk of meat in your skull to figure out how to use the layer modes and set the Blending mode of the lightning layer that's positioned above the clouds layer to screen. plus you posted in the wrong section. |

Ahh how nice, a little hostility.. :D this thread's gonna be a doozy! :D Supersaiyan, dude, use layers. If Elements has layers. I would assume so... make your LIGHTNING on one layer, your CLOUDS on another and etc... then your changes are independent of one another. For the record... LIGHTING effects is under Filter>Render menu in photoshop. again, I don't know jack squat about Elements, so it could be in a different place. It's located underneath Filter>Render>Clouds as far as I can see. (and I can see pretty far....) |
