Layouts

Every time I try to make a layout, it either A) Looks realllly bad, or B) I run out of ideas and just decide to quit. Any ideas on how I can make a good layout and it not look crappy.

lol... im not sure how to answer this question but what i would do is go look at other peoples site and may it will inspire some creativity... and for the crappiness the only thing i can say to do would be to practice...

sketch it out on paper first. then slowly make the backbone of the site, then add a few things, change them around, etc. etc. you're not going to get something you like in a few minutes. my site took me well over 12 hours, thats like 5 hours with the site, 7 hours running people over and running away from the fbi (record for me is 14:32 in a Stinger until they flipped me off the bridge in ssv) in gta3 :p

Yeah try to be original but first start with a top banner and then a menu, do it all appart from the rest, spend much time on lil things and if you dont feel like making it anymore then do like !mo0chan! and play some GTA3 :p

abstract
minimal
find some inspiration in pieces of art and so on :D
thats what i do anyway, i make too many layouts :(

lol, but PC version is supposed to r0x0r ps2, cause of course the graphics, but you can play your own mp3s and there are more routes or something like that...but i'm thinking i'll buy it for ps2 anyways since i spend enough time using the comp as it is
