adobe photoshop, adobe illustrator, any 3d rendering program... maya or 3d studio max, some use macromedia fireworks, and sure people use digital cameras and/or scanners... but if you want to do stuff i would just recommend photoshop its probably what mainly is used here... since it is teamphotoshop =).. and anything over 500mhz for pc and 333mhz for apple with a good amount of ram atleast 128mb you will be fine... the programs are pretty expensive so be warned... but its worth it.

I personally use Adobe Photoshop 7.0, Adobe Image Ready 7.0, Macromedia Flash MX (for animation), Dreamweaver MX (for websites), 3D Studio Max 4.2 and Bryce 5 (for 3D) I have a scanner and a graphic tablet also. If I am to use lots of images I would go to http://www.istockphoto.com or http://www.freefoto.com I have an IBM Aptiva PC with over 300mb SDRAM, 19" TFT monitor and a P4. For beginners I would recommmend checking out other graphic design programs such as Jasc Paint Shop Pro before going onto photoshop, as they explain themselves in a very basic and easy to understand manner so you can get a feel of it quickly. |
