Oooh! Thank you for that excellent response to my question! The VBulletein people won't help me because it isn't my forum that i want to edit. And it does have to do with Photoshop... I would need to edit it in photoshop.. it says so on their tut about it. And this is a VBulletein forum soooo.... But if you can think of a witty reply like you did last time, please, post it. I actually made this post so that i could entertain all of you, not so i could get help... |

If you have vbulletin, you have all you need to edit the skins as far as I know... Just open all the .gif images that come with it, and change them... You can change the buttons, header graphics, etc. Then there is probably a style sheet or template file that controls the background colors of the tables and the text size/color/font. So just look for those things, open them in photoshop (the images) and change them to your liking. Then customize the CSS file or template to match the color scheme, and you are all done.

Yes, you would have to download it to be able to customize it... Though I think you have to pay for it. Maybe that is just the deluxe version though. As far as customizing the buttons and stuff though... You could just right click on the buttons on the forum, save them to your hard drive, open them in ps, and edit them. But then you'd have to find a way to change the background colors... So I'd say just download a copy of Vbulletin...

Actually I moved your original post to "misc" but I don't find it now. So maybe it did get deleted, anyhow.... I don't think it is a "new to photoshop" topic |

Are VB forums expensive? I've just been given a major, i repeat major web design job, and i'm thinking of getting one....also, how much space would one take up? I know the phpBB forums are free, but i prefer these forums.. |

You can find all the information you're looking for at http://www.vbulletin.com. I think they run about $100.00-$200.00 dollars for a single installation, but who's stopping you from putting it on more than one site? The initial space would be fairly minimal, but once your forum gets pretty big I'm pretty the mySQL database gets pretty big. Ask Pank how big his db dumps are.
