Today I was diagnosed with some rare skin condition called Pityriasis Lichenoides. It has no known cause and no known cure. It can stay in my system forever coming back throughout my life or it will just remian there neutral. I had to do all this research myself. My doctor didn't say much. Only that she had seen 3 cases (including me) and I was the first case she had seen in 2 years. I have a case of it that is slightly milder than the normal two types. Maybe and in-between or a even milder form of the mildest known. So it might be some unknown case. It is a really bad rash. Pityriasis lichenoides most often affects adolescents and young adults. It is slightly more common in males. It is rare in infants and in old age. Pityriasis lichenoides is a rash with red or brown, raised, scaly patches that can form scars. The condition is not dangerous. The rash can last for weeks to months. It usually disappears within one to two years. I am asking any of you here, anyone who wants to help me reasearch this. You do not have to, I won't hate you, but I would like to know more about what I have and faster. Thank you all. Mark |

Well, I found that it is known by another name: Habermann Disease. So maybe you can search for that also, and find more info. The other info on this page is basically repeating what you already said... http://my.webmd.com/encyclopedia/article/4115.230 |

Really sorry to hear of your affliction. So here's my tiny contribution: http://cloud.prohosting.com/jag420/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.cgi/YaBB.cgi?board=pleva&action=display&num=1019691870 It's a forum for sufferers of this disease. Someone on it mentioned the drug Trental clearing it up for her after 3 weeks use. She had it for 2 and half years prior to this treatment. Might be worth investigating at least. Good luck dude and keep your head up. You might not have control over your disease but you do have control over your attitude about it and whether or not you are going to let it defeat your spirit. |

I have some form of Reiter's syndrome. Which is an incurable inflamation of parts of the body. It mainly takes on the form of symptoms similar to a urinary tract infection. Plus other pains in that area.
