Since it's from a CD you could convert the intro. into an MP3 or WAV and then import the clip into Macromedia Flash. The file size would be relatively small. There are plenty of tutorials on this subject available all over the internet. You might want to start at http://www.flashkit.com/ or http://www.were-here.com

I got a mp3 from my cd, now I would like to add it to the background of my html page. I searched and I found a script.

Here's my questions:

- How do I convert my mp3 to a .mid file?

- How can I edit my mp3 to play only the first 15 seconds of the song?

thank you for your help

How do I convert my mp3 to a .mid file?

You can't because the MIDI file would sound nothing like the MP3 and I don't think there are any software solutions out there to do this.

You need to import the clip into Macromedia Flash and use the generated Flash file to play the music in your web browser, at least that's how I'd do it. The sound would be pretty good and relatively low file size too.

How can I edit my mp3 to play only the first 15 seconds of the song?

Any wave editor will do that reads MP3 files. http://www.cooledit.com works for me when I need to do stuff like this.

Hi and thank you for your time,

I have a html page and I want to add background music. I did like you suggested and now I have a .swf file with sound.

My question is: how do I add this file to my html, so the sound will play when the html page is downloaded.

Maybe you have send me an url as an example.

Your help is greatly appreciate.

embed the object, you can publish the HTML from flash, and copy-paste the part to your code, and check that the embed-stuff gets the accurate URL to the SWF. That should do it. Visit AUXILIUMSTUDIOS.CJB.NET for full list of smileys.

The source code for the html from flash is here

But I have no idea what to do with it. I don't know what you mean about "embed the object", sorry.

You copy and paste that into another HTML file and it will work.
