I have two kiddos....a five and six year old. They are allowed to play on the computer occasionally. But, just as when I was young, I boot their @$$ outside everyday. My wife also boots me outside everyday!!! The good thing is that they're on this site and not some porn site. Later, Justin |

I know exactly what you mean Charm. I was doing all kinds of thing I prolly shouldn't have been doing. There wasn't any of this sitting around in front of the computer. I did have an old tandy that I played with, but the majority of my time was spent running around the neighborhood. I remember though, when I was 12 there weren't people getting shot in the school halls. :( times have truly changed. |

Isn't it a shame....I live in the seventh largest city in the USA and I am terrified to send my kids to K and 1st grade. I won't even let them in the front yard without being out there with them. A far cry from the days when I used to wonder for miles with a BB gun or fishing rod without worrying. Later, Justin |

bah, when i was 12 *ahh* 13 years ago, I spent all my time outside digging holes in the ground or playing backyard football. Nowadays, people don't stress that outside thing enough. |

yes i am 13 and i live in new zealand. K man i only come on here when everything is finished. Like after rugby practice or after homework or late at night. I never put it before sports it is kind of a last resort. I'm sure the rest of the 12 year olds on here woudl be the same.

What they actually let you have wiffle bat?? Oh to have been that lucky. All i got was a jacket that let me hug myself *innocent smile* When i was 12 i was zoning out on the computer AND causing normal 12 year old havoc upon the neighborhood and local Girls and Boys Club. I was multi-talented that way. I thought BBSes were so "cool" mhaha 1200 baud, be very afriad Than again i did meet some pretty strange and interesting people. I mean only the seriously anti-social and crimilly insane had computers a modem and the desire to mud all day...and all those people logged onto one computer. Man i miss those days. I actually prefered the BBS to the net. Granted there wan't much on the net yet, yaaaah sports chat! Plus cost alot per-minute. BBSing was free if it was a local one. Ya know of all the fears i have (i have a whole bagfull of 'em too) getting shot has never been one of them. Nor stab, raped, robbed off the streets. |

When I was 12, I was out shooting rabbits and birds with a BB gun in my back yard. Didn't matter where I lived, only 195 people in the town I lived in from when I was 1 - 18.....then I moved to the "big" city....12,000 people.

i think i spent most of my time outside with my dog chasing the birds off the lawn... which was surprisingly fun even after hours of doing it. :D that and laying the hammock and reading ... of course that all changed when my bro introduced me to the computer via photoshop and Quake :D |
