Graphicsguy: So.... are the boys from Colorado going to show to play tonite. Or are they going to roll up into a fetal position and suck their thumbs?

I was so looking forward to a showdown between the Avs and the Redwings, but I'm not sure that's going to happen now.

Well, I am putting myself on a limb here... but it's all good. 50/50 chance of being made a fool tomorrow, or - right on the money - so here goes my prediction:

The Avs are going to punish San Jose tonight in Denver. I'm predicting the Avalanche rolling into Octopussssssville later this week with a big stick. Look out Detroit Senior Citizens.

BUT - it depends on a couple of things:

One: Avs coach Bob Hartley needs to quit coaching so damn conservative. You've got the most potent offensive weapons in the league, USE 'em!! Roy won't give up 5 against San Jose again. That was a fluke. Avs can put up 6 every night if Hartley'd let 'em...

Two: Ice time for the nobodys. Hartley has used four defensemen for most of the game. He has 6 or 7 - all are better than average.

Three: FAST through the neutral zone. No offsides penalties.

Four: FAIR REFEREES. Sharks got away with like five the other night - almost won the game on a no-call offsides play.

Oh, - and Milan Hejduk will have a Hat-Trick.

Unfortunately for you, graphics guy, the Av's haven't won a game at home YET in this series... game tonite... home. Game over, you lose.

What are you whining about penalties for? The Av's have had 1/3 of the penalty minutes the Wings have had during the playoffs. Talk about lopsided. Course, that won't stop Patrick Waaaah from complaining about it none-the-less.

Speaking of Waaaah, I thought he was supposed to be the best-of-the best... how come his GAA is 3.5 versus Hasek's 2.2?

Hasek's a sissy. Pushes the net off anytime anyone with a puck comes near him. That and he tries to take a dive when ever someone skates near him..
