got it at work. Played with it for about an hour, so I haven't seen all the features. Some of the tools have been moved around. I'm not a big fan of the file>>new image dialogue. I don't know how many people do print work in photoshop, perhaps there is an option to turn this off. I do absolutly no print work at home and I don't do any design at work, so having this for me is pretty much useless. I don't really like the file browser either. Where did my airbrush go? All I see are the other brushes. there's a button on the toolbar that has an airbrush, that might be it. Anyone know what the Healing Brush does? Was pretty cool to make voice annotation for the image. That's a neat, useful feature. Finally, the only thing that really bothers me is the brush view. I don't really care what the pattern would look like when drug across the canvas. I only want to know what the brush looks like. Good stuff-- Many more options in the brushes pallette. Some new filters, although I rarely use filters anymore, they are there. even a pattern maker thing. More options for configuration. Mostly would be handy for folks doing print projects. |

I read the healing tool gets rid of facial blemishes or something.. (Quicktime isn't on the comps at school, am I right?) I don't think I'm gonna get psp 7.0 until It's like 40 bucks for the upgrade =P I'm pretty happy with 6.0, and from everything I've read they've just made it more confusing.

The healingBrush seams to be identical to the stampTool...Call me stupid, but I havenĀ“t figured out the difference...

the healing brush is totally diff. and so is the healing brush sub brush thingy, i think its called Band-Ad, but im not sure basicly it copyis the texture color and what not to the place you want it on, you can get rid of acne, scars, and other things, its much easier then the stamp, i never used the stamp much but the healing tool is worth it =) |

I played with it for about 3 hrs this weekend. I love it. Not a neccessity - but a good upgrade. I like the layer management, the file browser is handy - for smaller files or for faster computers... by far though, the imageready upgrade is bad ass. rollovers are easy as hell now. the code seems cleaner, too, for some reason... |

from what I remember - I don't have it in front of me right now-File> 'new' gives you the option to pick some of the most common document sizes to start with, just a little feature, since most of us know how easy it is to type in 1024 x 768 or 468 x 60, etc...-which you can still do, of course, manually anyway... I think there might be more to it than that, but I can't tell ya until I go over to the other office to use a Mac (they have the upgrade, my PC doesn't yet) anyone else notice differences in features that I'm missing? |
