Just wondering if anyone got the upgrade yet and wondering if it's worth the upgrade price.

I know a few of the people in some of the photography forms I visit have gotten theirs.

Wondering about that healing brush. :D

Healing brush and the new paint engine look sweet. I'm sure I'll be visiting comp usa soon to get the upgrade. If I didn't have this site I'd probably hold off a bit but you know ;)

I figgered an influential person in the PS community like PANK would already have their comp'd copy of PS7 from Adobe.

I've done all the reading...and it looks pretty cool.

but like all my upgrades, I'll wait until someone brings me a disk. Then I'll make the phone call and order it.

After reading real reviews on this release, its apparent to me that its pretty much the same as earlier beta reviewers said it would be. Meaning not a super-duper upgrade.

Eventually, I'll get my work to upgrade, but I'm in no rush at all.

It seems theres no huge 'must have must have' updates.
However there are two things in general that i'm willing to shell out the money for

-healing brush: I do alot of photomanips so this is right up my alley

-image browse: Only took them 7 stupid upgrades to get a clue. sheesh.

-Spell Checker:hahah finally for us poor stupid people who can't think and type at the same time

-Tool Presents: need i say more?

some other random things that make me go 'ohhhhh' but those are the main reasons.

My copy of v.7 is in the mail, supposedly this week. Along with Illustrator 10 and the newest CorelDraw - (v.?)

I'm really hoping that the new healing brush can kill off .jpg noise in digital photos. If so, I think that alone will make it a worthy upgrade for photographers everywhere.

I think the image browser will be handy, too.

Interesting how each version picks on a smaller plug-in company. In this case, companies such as ACDSee or Extensis (portfolio) are going to take a big sales hit, due to the image browser (assuming it's worth a sh*t). - in v.6 KPT (goo) became pretty much unneccesary (liquify feature), and how many dumb little shareware apps got nuked when Save for Web came out in v. 5.5? Good riddance, in most cases.
