haha far as i know, no. You can't make a program made for a MAC work on a PC w/o another special program to read that file. Its like it spoofs that OS on your system or something *sorta foggy on the details Sorry, you can't 'convert' a program made for one OS to work on another very easily. Which is why they had to create two seperate versions in the first place. |

.EXE is the extension that designates an executable file...basically a program that uses code to perform tasks. It's a windows-only file. .SIT and .HQX are suffixes that designate two types of compression algorithms. The only way you can run an .EXE on a Mac is to use a program called VirtualPC from Connectix. It emulates the Windows-OS on a Mac. And as far as I know, there aren't any similar emulators for running Mac programs on a windows box. |

I really thought the question was about taking a "file" created on a PC to a MAC.... in which case... HECK yeah you can.... Just do it. But then we got into emulation software. I know of 2 PC emulators for Mac on the market. RealPC: http://www.fwb.com/emu/SW_RealPC.html and Insignia Solutions' "SoftWindows" http://www.insignia.com Thing is both of them SUCK! That is compaired to "VirtualPC" for emulating a PC on a MAC. |

The deal with Connectix' Virtual PC, as well as the others, I'm sure, is that not only must you have the emulation software, you'll also need a copy of whichever specific Windows OS it's written for. It might be an exact, off-the-shelf version (probably), or it may be modified (not likely, but still possible). Gigantic set of files....Soooo, if there is a trial version, you'll need either a lot of patience of a really fast internet connection.
