Has anyone else bought this? I hadn't heard anything about it until I read about it in last month's PC Gamer. Saw it in the store today and bought it with my Media Play gift certificate... The graphics are all screwed up. Lots of random artifacts and weird anomolies. That's what I get for buying a PC game as soon as it comes out though, I guess... Plus it's published by microsoft... Just had to throw that in there. It's very similar to Diablo... except a lot more boring. You just click once on an enemy, then your character hacks until he's dead. One click... watch... one click... watch.... bleh. You can add more people to your party later in the game, so maybe that will liven it up. I dunno. So far I am not impressed and rather pissed that I spent money on getting it when it has tons of graphical glitches and one click gameplay... guess I should have read more about it before I bought it. At least Unreal Tournament is fun... (bought that last night) |

Here's a lovely example of the intense visuals I am treated to whenever looking at a dialog box in this game: http://www.openfridge.com/ds.jpg This reminds me of why I've been playing console games lately... at least they work... I guess I'll just put it on the shelf for a couple of months and wait for them to finish the game that I just paid $40 for. |

Many stores will accept returns on games, even if they have already been opened. If you explain to them that the game is screwed up, it's likely that they'll give you your money back or at least a store credit. Then you can pick up a good game...like Civilization 3.

Civ. 3 and Half-Life are the two greatest games ever. Never has a slag, such as myself, spent countless days playing these games straight through the end. Best part is that there are an infinite ways to make yourself gib or be killed! Ohhh the love... the... the... paradise of watching others and yourself gib to little gibblets... mmmmmm.........................................
