Seems like this question is frequently asked. If you use a resolution detector, you'll have to make different versions of the site to fit the res. Which is painful. One solution is to design the site for 800x600 and align it in the center. I did that for my corporate site DesignerArena(spam :D) There's another way that I use on my personal site Sidez(another spam :D) . I set the tables to 100%. And it'll look the same on res 1024x768 and above. How i did it, i don't know how to explain though. |

Behold, the power of clicking the www button. http://www.sidez.net/ More examples: www.microsoft.com and www.semtech.com have good examples of having your page stretch 100% |

A tip.. Learn how tables work. An essential skill that never fails. It'll let you make you sites look the same in different browsers and resolution if done properly. |

Seriously, if we hold your hand you'll never learn anything. If you don't understand tables then i'd work on that a little bit, using/building/editing tables. Get in the habit of 'view source' to figure out how other people made their tables work This is VERY simple stuff. We gave you all the key info, and some examples. Once you get in the habit of figuring out the rest for yourself you will find that ALOT of stuff suddenly makes sense faster. As for your specific page, Make a background or something that repeats and help make your page not suddenly stop there (IE lines on the top and bottom perhaps?) using tables (or, even, just a repeating background) to make it go 100% across the page |
