There is a great new article over at www.alistapart.com about modifying Dreamweaver to produce standards compliant XHTML. It's a really great article and very helpful for anyone that uses Dreamweaver and is interested in standards compliant code!

Standards-compliant is sooooo 2001 Dek. This is 2002. No more standards. Standards are dead. The new thing is to see how different your site looks on different browsers. The task is to see if you can have 3 completely different sites from IE to Netscape to Opera. 3 for the price of 1. Can't beat that. If you want a different experience of the site, just open a different browser.

I didn't call you stupid... or were you saying I would call you stupid for asking that question? whatever.. anyway...

xHTML is the successor to HTML 4.0. It is much more strict in it's mark-up, and is considered "standards-compliant". There are really only a few differences between it an HTML, but it is good to start using it, for future standards compliance. Check out the link that SideFX posted for more information.
