Been spending the last few days re-formatting my computer. Sheesh......I forgot how bad I hated doing that. Going through and re-installing all my stuff has taken me over 3 days.....and I'm still not done. I just installed the stuff that was of immediate need.

I feel your pain, man. My machine is still in a coma... been waiting on a new sound card all this time. They shipped it yesterday so it should arrive soon, but I am facing the same 3 days of reinstalling. :( No fun!

It takes a long time when you can't spend every waking hour on it.

I'm backing everything up on my machine to reformat today. It's just getting a bit boggy, and starting to crash. Kinda wish I didn't have 8 gigs of mp3's now... takes quite a while to burn that much on cds. ah well.

Try 120 Gigs of crap. I have over 60 Gigs of mp3s, 40 Gigs of music videos, about 10 Gigs of TV shows, and a bunch of other stuff. I don't back ANYTHING up. I just stuff it all onto my other 2 drives (have 3 total). 1 10 Gig, 1 20 Gig, and 1 80 Gig. The 10 is my boot drive, which has all the progs and the OS. And the other 2 are for my crap. But when I reformat, I just reformat the 10, and unplug the other 2, and after I'm done re-installing Windows, I plug the other 2 back in and I'm ready to go. But it still takes FOREVER to go back through and install 10 Gigs worth of programs. Office 2000 itself takes about an hour to go through and restart every 20 dern seconds. |
