Hall & Oates are quite possibly the best band in the world! I swear to God the radio station this morning is playing nothing but Hall & Oates.

Hall & Oates really did some great white-boy, blue-eyed Philly soul and R&B, but, like a lot of artists, some of the choices their management made regarding which songs to market got a little wonky later in their career. Still, there are a lot of gems in the catalog.

If you have Comcast cable TV, keep your eyes peeled for a special with those guys...there are also shows on E! and VH1 about them. Also look for the one with Jeffrey Gaines. He's a guy I used to hang out with in Harrisburg PA that has a real knack for acoutic guitar/vocal songs. He released a version of Peter Gabriel's "In Your Eyes" that is drop-dead KILLER.

Well Fireshocker, that's probably because by the time you were 5, most people had kind of forgotten about them. I'm not saying that I'm old enough to remember when they were big, but I do remember one really stupid video on MTV.

Ut, I did notice that there was a "Behind The Music" special on them on VH1, but VH1 is always one the last channels I'll ever stop on, and I always forget about those things. I can't say that I've ever heard of Jeffrey Gaines, but I'll be sure to keep an eye out. I'm always on the lookout for something different to listen to.

I think the radio station is doing like tributes to 80's bands. From like 8 until 8:30 it was Hall & Oates, and right now it's nothing but David Lee Roth (ROCK!) I'm just a Gigolo!
