Sony and HP laptops are best price searched by looking at pricegrabber.com I seriously considered getting a Sony laptop last year, but Sony's extremely crappy warranty plan had me go for a Dell laptop instead, which I'm glad I made that decision. Sony laptops carry only a 90 day warranty unless you mail in a warranty registration card thats included with the laptop that extends it to a full year. If you screw up and forget, you lose out on precious warranty service. |

Sony, IBM, Apple, HP, Toshiba, and most major label laptop sellers do not allow for much customization. You basically buy a pre-made system from a list of differently configured ones. Though none are customizable. The biggest customizable laptop vendors I can think of are.... Dell, Gateway , and Winbook Several other not-so known companies allow for customization, but are not known for their ability to maintain their businesses long enough to survive during the warranty period of your laptop. Gateway, Toshiba, and a few other laptop vendors are starting to get into their own financial troubles lately. Gateway especially. |

yeah. I went to a yard sale looking for some furniture and came across the laptop. guy said it didnt work but would take no less than 100 bucks for it. I looked it over pretty hard and bought it. went home, re-seated the ram modules in it and poof, laptop for axiom. That's also how I got my monitors. Payed 100 bucks for the both of them cause the guy thought they were cheap |
