If you've ever seen Dazed and Confused, you'd know that there is "some really trippy stuff going on with the dollar bill man"

Heads smedges. mmm, penises.

Ireland is the only country witrh the Euro country that DOESN'T have a different picture on the opposite side, meaning that all the other Euro countries all have a seperate back for each coin. Ireland has a harp on all of them.

Euro uses 'cents' too because of the crappy Americans influence. And if you think of it, cent means 100 in greek, so therefore everytime you're buying something worth $0.20, you say twenty cents please (with a redneck accent) which actually mean twenty hundred cents which is $20.00.

So the americans are dumb, and we're just dumb for copying them.

Cent means 100th of a dollar! Bam! So if you say 20 cents, you mean 20/100th of a dollar.

No, literally it means 20 hundred cents. twent-cents. twenty-hundred.

You see, the americans are so dumb that they couldn't even call it a 'percent' which is actually the correct term. Because per means "out of". I know it sounds dumb, but if it had stared out as 'percent' in the first place, it wouldn't be weird.

And i knew that, because i'm from europe, and i also like leprechauns and shamrocks and Irish kissing. Ireland has the 8th best educational sytem in the world believe it or not, USA is way way way way way way way way way way way way way down there somewhere. i think our good ol' NL here has one of the best educational systems in the world (4 or 5)

Conclucion: Europe 1, America 0

I don't want to say anything but umh..

If a cent actually is 100 pieces of money, each worth 1/100 of one dollar, meaning it is as expensive as a dollar why do you call it dollar instead of cent?

And cent is 100 in french, not in greece. And cent comes from centium which is latin and means hunderd.

Eh. I don't really know what cent stands for, nor do I care. It's just the way it is, so there is no point in thinking about it. Americans have more important things to think about... Like creating the telephone, the internet, the atom bomb, the automobile, the airplane, going to space, etc.

... i'm not putting down other countries. We all do some pretty neat things.
