What is a professional layout??? ME and a couple friends are goign to make a webdesign company together and i have been assigned the task of making a the design for the site. I need some thoughts on what makes a professional layout effective...Even if you could just post some sites so i could have a look at and try and get a concept or some key ideas to solve my problem.

I think You will find that most big companies these days will have a "professional" looking layout , it really depends on what you define as professional or not. One web design company that I think has a professional looking layout (some may disagree ) is addr found at www.addr.com Some other sites that spring to mind that you could try are www.nzoom.com, www.ihug.co.nz and www.dna.co.nz (maybe not as "professional" looking as some of the others but it's a design site with a nice clean layout) That's what I think makes a good "professional" layout, keeping it clean, fast and easy to navigate with out making it look bad. Also a nice colour scheme that's easy on the eyes helps. |

I forgot who mentioned that its not called a professional look.. i think it is Charm anyways, i would call it professional, its more corporate to me Most corporate designs have the clean look without much images around Example, mediatemple.net its the clean look that defines mostly the corporate design |
