Just press the stop button on your browser. Works in IE, at least for me.

No the simplest solution is to uncheck it from my 2cd default ad server ;) For some reason FastClicks adds new ones automatically so I have to go in every time this one pops up and uncheck it. Sorry. Must have just started up again today... Should be fixed soon. And yes, those do give me a headache as well.

Thanks, Cap'n Pank. I know it's not your fault this crap gets served to your site.

Yes...it's easy enough to stop the animations, but the only problem is that the crappy advert loads well before the rest of the content on the page, so If I stop the animation as soon as I can, I also stop the rest of the page content from loading.

I don't know what the A-holes are thinking that put that kind of flashing ad out on the server. Everyone I've ever met will intentionally NOT click on them because of the annoyance factor.

And while I'm on a rant...does anyone else get Sunday comics that have an extra 1/3 of a page width, filled with ads, attached to the right edge of the front page and folded over? That's another thing I find so bloody annoying that I tear it off immediately, doing my level best to not even look at what is being advertised.
