Holy crap. Old school games are hard. I just bought a brand new Sega Genesis off of eBay. Never been opened... Beautiful condition. I got 5 used games at a game store the day before I got it. Now I'm playing them. These things are HARD! Gees. I got Pitfall... Can't even get past the first level. Shadow Dancer... I am doing much better in, but I still just died on the third level. Sonic... Not to bad at sonic... But still. I don't remember games being so hard... I have forgotten all the cheap tricks they used in those old games to make them hard. Every time you go away from a screen and come back, all of the enemies are back. They pop out of nowhere for no apparent reason... There are all kinds of traps and things to snare you. Man. Really frustrating. I haven't played games like this in years though. I just need a little warming up to remember all their tricks! One thing I hate is no saving though... You have to beat the whole game in one sitting, or start over from the beginning again. Now I remember why I left games on pause for days at a time. I love nostalgia. And I'm one system closer on my quest to have every video game console ever made! (except the Xbox. Because it's poo) |

Can't get past the 1st level of Shadow Dancer on Genesis? Dang. That is weak sauce son! I can run through that game like butter on a hot knife. |

No, I got to the 3rd level. I couldn't get past the first level of Pitfall. Plus I've never played Shadow Dancer before except like once in the arcade. So shut up. Been playing the Lion King game. It is actually pretty fun. I've spent the most time with it so far, so I've gotten the farthest. This is great though. It just isn't the same playing these games on an emulator. |

Ax... Sounds good. I have the first two and Sonic Spinball. And I can pick up the third one for $5 most likely. I'll also probably have Sonic Adventure 2 on the gamecube by then.
