The only difference is that there is a small banner ad in the chrome at the top of the screen in the free version. The pay version doesn't have that. Both are full featured.

I stick with what works. IE6 for me and I don't have to pay any extra for it on a windows machine. Now if I was using linux, I'd probably look into it, but that is not the case. |

you dont have to pay extra to use opera you only have to pay to get rid of the small banner add up at the top. |

But why would I want to see "2" banner ads wherever I go? I already have to look at one (see top of this page), I don't want to look at another. |

I still consider that paying for it. After all, the ad is there to pay Opera, and its an annoyance I don't have to deal with in other browsers. Like I said, if I went to Linux, I'm assuming I'd have some use for the program. Just no reason to switch for me on a windows machine. |

Every Microsoft product is full of advertisements. They just happen to be for their own products. And they never give you the option to turn them off, and most times force you to buy the product. The banner isn't even noticeable. How many times do you stare at the rotating "E" thing in IE? Probably never... And the add is no more noticeable than that. You don't even look at it because you are looking at the web page, not the normally empty space of your browser window. Oh well... I guess THE BEST BROWSER IN THE WORLD just isn't for everyone... Microsofts fans.... psh. |

I agree opera kicks butt and i use it all the time. Hey, I use an bland version of windows me and IE. This means i took any and all icons, or anything has to do with ms Windows off. I took that whole pic off with the e which is known as a throbber. I have even taken off windows one also. I just made my computer OS look like it was running 95. |

How did you take that "throbber" off IE. Not that this really matters because I will never go back after using opera. |
