http://news.cnet.com/news/0-1005-200-8225543.html?tag=mn_hd Hm... Can't listen to it on Mac/Linux or PSX/PS2 video game consoles and some older CD players? *Note to self: Never buy another CD from Universal (oh wait, I haven't purchased a CD in over a year anyway), and go out of my way to download MP3s from artists on their record label. Then make sure my computer is always online running AudioGalaxy in order to allow others to do the same. |

Could they have picked a worse CD?? Seems VERY costly move for something that really will only make people who DO pay for it have a harder time playing it. I think its retarded that they have the gall to only make it work on Windows Media. I wonder how these CDs will function on CD/mp3 players. |

How long until these record industry suits realize that they can't beat computer geeks at their own game? Give the geeks time, they will probably crack this crappy idea in a matter of weeks. I just bought a CD for the first time in over a year, myself. I begrudgingly paid only $13.99 for it. (blew my mind that it was under 17 bucks.) *Note to self: feel no shame screwing over out-of-touch-money mongrels by sharing files.* |

The less money you pay for a CD, or lack of, the less money the artist gets for it. Sorry but you can't justify the stealing music because you are cheating the 'big bad' music companies. |

Don't post your opinions online if you don't wish anyone to dispute them. That way your opinions will be nice and safe with no one pointing out how wrong they are. Does that sound like FUN!?

Doesn't matter what i believe. What i state is a fact. Your stealing music. You take away money not just from the company that produces the CD but from the artist(s) themselves. Not to mention its illegal. If you don't like people poking you with a stick every time you open your mouth than shut you mouth. Maybe lock yourself in a box. That or get some beliefs that you can actually defend |

I steal music. I used to make music and sell CDs. I didn't care if people ripped MP3s. That doesn't make it right, I'm just sharing my experience as an "artist". Artists don't make much money off of CDs. I would support an independant artist much more than a signed one. (The only CD I purchased in the last year was for local rock band) But anyway. I'm not making excuses. |

Does anybody else get this? Or do you just stand by and wait for a new guy to pounce on? I never said I stole music. I said I wouldn't feel shame for anyone if I did. (includes you, DPQ) I rip my own CD's to mix them, and I trade them with my brother and friends to mix again. Same principle as mixed tapes back in the day, and buying used CD's -last time I checked. Nobody griped too much about that, except maybe Garth Brooks, and I really don't care much what he has to say... I don't have to "defend" s#@t to you, Officer goodie goodie. Just continue to pay 17, 18 bucks for your music, and I'll get mine my way. out. |
