My site isnt quite done yet, but i want to have a services section where peeps can hire me, what should i do, i would have no clue about it aye. Can someone point me in the right direction, like what i shoud start off, and pricing plans, i want to do it all pretty cheap for now until i get afford my own domain name and server. But if anyone could come up with something to get me started, like pay by hour, or like what i accomplished.
Thnx

lol well there isn't a standard i believe for how much to charge. I mean its different for everyone. How much are you WILLING to work for? Obviously more than 5 bucks an hour but perhaps not as much as 30.

Some people don't do by the hour. They look at how long they think a project will late, and say how much they want.

For now perhaps just do specific things, IE logos buttons and banners, for X amount of dollars a pop. Rathan than some hourly rate. Than once you get a feel on how much you think you deserve, than up the price.

BTW if you are looking for a domain and hosting i'm running a lil contest on guistuff.com ( http://www.guistuff.com/forum/showthread.php?threadid=218 ) feel free to join.

I never did like that. When you are starting out small you are going to attrach small clients, they want to know up front what they can expect from you, or they will just go off to someone who does.

Even if you don't want to give the exact prices, i still think its a good idea to give a estimate. 'starting at x amount of dolloars'

That way people know the least amount you are willing to work for, cuts out some of the BS clients. Some people really do love when all the business psychobabble is cut out and you just tell them what they can expect from you, even if its a little vague.
