Just an F.Y.I. to all of those who choose alternative means and would like to go legit.

Go to ebay and look for something like Photoshop 4.0 Make sure the seller has a good history, bla, bla, etc. Make sure it is 100% full Photoshop. Not an LE, student, or some restricted version. Bid on it.

That is what I did. I think I bought a full, unopened, unregistered version of 4.0 for like $80.00 Then go and buy the upgrade for $189.00 some place and you got a full, LEGAL version of the worlds best image software for just over $200.00

Pretty sweet if you ask me...

Has anyone tried photoshop Elements? IS it any good at all? I know LE bombed so badly, but Elements seem to have promised. It is a good alternative (only 79 bucks or so) to photoshop for hobbiest?

Just make sure it's in the box, I got Paintshop Pro off Yahoo, for like ten bucks... Almost pissed my pants, but when I got in the mail, it was a CD-R copy of the real thing. I emailed the guy and he traded me the real disc for the CD-R so it worked out okay. It sucks though because I have Photoshop and Painshop Pro and can't make graphics crap:(
