Here's a link for anyone that is confused on whether to save an image as a GIF or JPEG. I'm basically just posting it so that if someone searches the forum, they will be able to find it. Not like anyone ever does that.... Anyway. http://www.webmasterbase.com/article/601 It did leave out the topic of animation though. If you are wanting to make an animated image, you must use a GIF! |

*still wants an animated jpeg standard made for browsers* Gotta use #@$! Flash for 24-bit color animation still, dern it. *Prefers the incredible ease of use of imageready* |

Animated JPEG can be output using QuickTimePro. The quality is crappy, because I wanted to keep load time short, but have a look at this animation I did using SnapzPro and QuickTime pro. I made it to show a visitor to the Adobe User-to-User forum the tiling power of Terrazzo. It's about 1.5MB, and you'll need QuickTime to view it. http://www.phosphor.f2s.com/TileMovie2.MOV |
