NEED HELP, Babe the movie

Okay Im sure some of you have seen the movie babe, well i was wondering what kinda of dog Fly is. (the main dogs in the movie) I know she is a sheep dog but i need to know what type of sheep dog, and i thought there was no harm in asking you guys :P. So by any chance if you know plz post it or PM me thanks.

i don't remember to clearly, but
i don't think it was a collie.

i believe it was an
australian blue merle, or
something along those lines of
that type of sheep dog.

(obviously not the blue one , but
maybe of that genus/species/order/class/whatever)

i ll post a picture if i can find one, uhh aren't collies like Lassie dogs, I know its not that, or i think so, but thanks guys i ll look up the ones your are talking about!!

the dog on the right looks exactly like fly and thats the dog i want! and im pretty sure its a australian blue merle (except not blue)

the dog on the right (the one i want), im pretty sure is a totally diffrent breed, but thats the exact type i want! any idea of what type that is? :P

It's a border collie. They're are races that look alike but, border collies me thinks are used a lot to herd sheep.

Before asking Santa for any particular breed of dog, make sure you do your research. I would suspect that Border Collies, or other herding dogs need LOTS of space to run and exercise.

Better to find out the quirks of any breed BEFORE you get the pet.

I have been researching alot, (I actually plan on calling a breeder today and asking about what they are like and if i have the right home etc) only way santa is willing to bring me a dog is if i research it and for sure house train it :P
