I have a MS optical trackball right now. I really like it but it sticks and is very annoying and makes it hard to work with Photoshop. Can any of you recommend a good mouse or trackball? It would be greatly appreciate. Andy

I had an optical MS Intellimouse thing. It had those little buttons on the side that you could use for forward and back buttons in web browsers. It also did some neat things in Photoshop... Like if you have the move tool selected and press one of the buttons, it will nudge the layer one pixel to the right. It did some other stuff too that I can't remember.

Then my bird chewed the wire in two, so I got a logitech Optical Cordless mouse. It just has two buttons and a scroller. The batteries go dead pretty quick though. So if you get a wireless, I recommend getting one with a recharging cradle so you don't have to mess with batteries.

Or you could always get a Wacom tablet. That would be ideal for photoshop...

I use both a Logitech corded optical Mouseman, and the cordless Logitech optical Mouseman. The corded one is better, IMO, because of the shape of it. Very well suited for my hand. The cordless is decent, but doesn't have nearly the same great feel as the corded because it isn't shaped as well.

Logitech made a cordless one in the Mouseman shape that I think is the best, but its not optical.

As for battery usage, I've had to change my cordless about once every 3-4 months. Regular alkaline probably won't be too much hassle, since you don't have to change it a whole lot. At least in my experiences.

I didn't let it. I don't like the thing very much. It's actually my Fiancee's. He chews on everything. He chewed through two mouse cords actually. Very annoying.
