Well....

I'm back...if anyone even noticed I was gone. :p

My cable modem got fried on the 12th, the day after all that crap, and I went and swapped it out the following Friday, the 14th.

I'm just now getting back online,.....this day, the 24th.

Comcast @ Home tech support blows ass.

I'm clearing all the posts to being read, simply because there are way too many for me to try and catch up on, and I have enough to do as it is, so I won't be reading them.

I did wonder what happened to you....and I feared the worst. I had been seeing alot of flooding footage down your way on the news.

I can agree that Comcast @ Home sucks some ass. I just got mine installed, then it stopped working. And they would only come out a WEEK later to fix it. I tried to explain that I run a web design company, and they are costing me thousands of dollars by not having net access. But of course that doesn't matter.

And what's the deal with them only coming to service stuff from 8 to 5? Who the hell is home 8 to 5? That's retarded.

Torn: Lightning got it. These modems are just too sensitive to that.

deker: I've been happy with them for over a year, when they're up. :p Just when it comes to tech support, they blow. I had a tech call to come from 5 to 9 pm that following Monday, but since I knew it was the modem, and I swapped it out Friday, I cancelled the call.

All they had to do was up my account info to the server...oh, that's hard. Hell, give me an FTP account, and I'll do it myself. :D
