During the last week I have noticed that Americans are forgetting to keep things in perspective. I have not heard anyone mention 'why' some one would want to attack the US like they did. Maybe no one wants to know the answer to that one. Anyhow I though I would post this link for anyone who would care to read about why we might have been attacked. Please note that this article is old but what it has to say I think is something that the American people hide from. Article here |

why does a reason matter? it still happened, having a reason for it doesn't justify what had been done. It's like trying to give a reason for the holocaust. And what's up with this different perspective stuff? As though seeing something in a different vantage pt. will make the lost friends/relatives all be alright. |

Yes, another perspective by some anti-government Montana militia person. I've always had something against those people who think our government is so excruciatingly corrupt and evil and in all actuality prevents freedom, yet they refuse to move out.......

That article tells you nothing on why the most recent terrorists did what they did. And he spends more time complaining about media, goverment, and corruption rather than on the terrorist aspects of things. He attempts to explain that OUR goverment performs more acts of terrorism than do other countries, but I don't really see where that article explains why terrorist groups do what they do.

no he does not, I posted that to make the point that we are not a 'perfect' nation and things we do are not always just. The article was written before this event. And if your not an American you may see some of things we did to other countries as acts of terrorism. That is the other perspective im trying to point out. I currently dont know what I would do if i was a position of power and had to decide what course of events to take. I have gone from feelings of anger and the desire to bomb whomever to gov decided to. Then to a more constrained feeling of thinking that a global policy shift was needed in order to keep this from escallating out of control. Now, well, I dont know. To be honest im somewhat confused, on the one hand you can believe everything the mainstream media says and bomb the s**t out of afghanistan (which I think may increase the odds of another attack here) or trying political means, which again may or may not lead to more attacks if they fail. Its a scary situation and I hope that people in power think this one through. |

If you want to show people what the United States has done to these countries, try finding a history site. They have to exist, since I was taught what we did that caused people like Laden to have issues with out government. If you think that this babbling moron has anything objective or new to say, you are wrong. He is just another of those 'everything is a conspiracy' assholes who stock-pile weapons for their eventual overthrow of the US Government. He and the people like him amount to as much as gum on my shoe. Why? Because they are just as chicken **** as the people who killed close to 5000+ innocent americans. Americans who probably had no idea why Laden and his cronies are angry at the United States. Please, from now on, if you feel you need to inform us of what we have done to these countries, try doing it with someone who can use a spell checker and has all their teeth. |

i thought it was obvious by what the Israeli leaders and the members of certain terrorist groups said, that certain people hate us because we support Israel. it isn't because we were involved in Vietnam, or because we bombed Hiroshima, it's because we are supporting Israel in the middle east conflicts. no, we are not perfect, but if anyone is really keeping score they would know that we are far from being the only ones short of perfection. besides, our gonvernment is not a single entity. it's a democracy. that means that when it all boils down, the people steer the wheel. just because we haven't lived up to that responsibility in the past, doesn't mean that we can't in the future. look at our voter ratings. people have slipped into this apathetic mindset that believes everything that is seen in movies that says that our government is corrupt and that your voice doesn't really count. our society has built this shadow of a demon in their minds to the point where it's becoming a reality. "well, the corruption was there first. all we do is expose the government for what it is." bullshi#. and it's not just that it's exposed, but that it is dragged through the streets and hoisted by a noose so that the people can see that noone is perfect. public execution is alive and well. what are we left with? a once mighty position in our nation now held in distrust and dishonor. now, it doesn't matter who is in the presidency or congress, there has to be something wrong with them. we can't trust them. they are nothing but political fodder. isn't that right? isn't it sad? |
